Gyrofocus gas, the icon reinvented.
In 1968, Dominique Imbert, the founder and designer behind Focus, disrupted the history of fireplace design with the Gyrofocus: the world’s first suspended fireplace that pivots 360°. He was the first to pull the fireplace away from the wall and put it at the centre of the room, making it the focus of attention.
Today the symbol of the brand, the Gyrofocus has become an international icon, honoured with the most distinguished awards and exhibited in museums around the world, including the Guggenheim in New York.
Focus creates non-conformist fireplaces whose design generates the surprise and emotion one feels in front of a work of art.
No concessions are made on design – Focus strives to make technology surpass itself to stay discreet. To this end, Focus invests heavily in the human expertise and technological resources that allow its fireplaces to meet its demanding aesthetic requirements as well as strict international environmental standards.
The result is Focus’s latest innovation: the gas Gyrofocus, the world’s first suspended, pivoting gas fireplace.
This achievement was made possible by Focus’s in-house R&D team, who developed a system to supply gas through the flue without altering the original design of the model and allowing the hearth to pivot – a technological break- through for which a patent has been filed.
Fuelled by natural gas or propane, the Gyrofocus gas fire has zero fine particle emissions. The flames dance around ceramic logs in perfect imitation of a wood fire. Its exceptional simplicity extends to ease of use, with the fire operated by remote control: the fire can be switched on or off, the intensity of the flames adjusted, or programmed for desired use at the touch of a button. The burner is battery-operated, allowing it to be switched on in the case of a power outage.
The gas Gyrofocus simultaneously offers a realistic fire optimized for people and the environment.
